    The Hotel Accountant will provide accounting support to the Hotel General Manager under the directives of the Corporate Controller in accordance with LTD Hotel and Corporate policies and procedures to include data entry, reviewing statements, month end procedures, accounts receivable and accounts payable including obtaining verification & approval of all invoices from vendors in a timely and accurate manner.

    · Create and maintain computer and paper based filing and organization system for records, reports, documents.

    · Enter invoices on the company’s system (One Source) for processing including proper coding and submit all invoices from other department heads every Friday

    · Submit invoices daily to General Manager for approval

    · Send out A/R invoices weekly and follow-up with customers for payments

    · Reconcile petty cash requests and submit every Friday

    · Enter daily revenue into the company spreadsheet and balance PMS data with ProfitSword system

    · Ensure daily credit card deposit data from credit card processor is entered into ProfitSage Income Journal. Input detailed notes regarding any variances. Research and ensure all variances are corrected

    · Empty drop safe of all cashier drops with a witness

    · Count all cashier drops and prepare bank deposit

    · Take deposit to local bank prior to close of bank twice a week

    · Provide change to all cashiers as needed

    · Prepare month-end packets to the corporate office

    · Correct all posting errors and communicate with Accounting Manager about posting problems

    · Respond to all charge backs from credit card companies

    · Prepare daily logs (Adjustments, etc.) for general manager review

    · Review daily audit pack for discrepancies. List compiled, distributed, and followed up on for resolution

    · Handle all vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements

    · Complete at least two full safe counts per week with different witnesses

    · Sort mailbox daily and distribute as needed

    · Help with monthly/annual forecast and budget as well as variance analysis

    · Help with internal and external audit of financial records

    · Any additional duties assigned by the Corporate Controller or the Hotel General Manager including change in frequency of performance of abovementioned tasks

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skills and or ability required.

    · Minimum of two to three years of accounting or hotel operations experience.

    · Excellent Microsoft Office Suite applications skills to include Excel, Word & PowerPoint

    · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written

    · Exhibit exceptional organizational skills

    · Proficiency in using a calculator

    · Data Entry proficiency

    · Must be able to multi-task, manage time well and able to meet critical deadlines

    · Must be dependable

    · Must be accurate with laser focus on details and follow up

    · High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in business, accounting, finance or hotel administration is preferred.

    · Must have reliable transportation & valid state driver’s license
