Responsibilities: • Participate in pre-shift and department meetings to gain a thorough grasp of all products, services, and facility activities • Restock and clean as instructed, including side work for opening and closing of the restaurant • Collect correct payment from guests and ensure that the guest check and method of payment are accurate to safeguard both the client and the business from mistakes in transactions • Establish a full knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to respond to client inquiries and make recommendations • Greet customers, take food and beverage orders from diners, serve orders promptly, and accommodate any special needs or requests Qualifications: • Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification (GED) • Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers • Prior food service industry experience is highly desired • Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills
