    Job Description

         

    Student Services & Education Support Functions

    • Awarding of transfer hours to new and re-enrolling students, as applicable
    • Maintenance of student files, ensuring compliance with NACCAS and company standards
    • Entry of attendance and grades daily, ensuring accuracy
    • Transition student emails to new units as students progress through programs
    • Processing of time clock challenge forms and noting requests to leave early or of late arrival
    • Maintenance of premium and attendance banks, notifying students as applicable
    • Processing of student awards
    • Processing of leaves of absence, including mailing of confirmation letters to students                        
    • Processing of satisfactory academic progress (SAP) documentation, working closely with the Education Coach in preparation of academic plans
    • Review of MPAs against attendance for accuracy, working with students on corrections as needed
    • Processing of withdrawals
    • Processing of graduate documentation, including file closure
    • Creation of diplomas
    • Conduct exit interviews for graduating students
    • Process grad surveys
    • Processing of monthly state board reports, if applicable
    • Processing of re-enrollment documentation
    • Attend student assembly and orientations
    • Close out week and month, ensuring grades, attendance and MPAs are accurate
    • Develop a rapport with students and staff
    • Processing of transcript requests received via mail

    Career Services Functions

    • Assist students with completing licensure applications
    • Hold career fairs
    • Salon outreach and networking
    • Assist students in locating employment
    • Post job opportunities
    • Record license exam results
    • Record placement

     

    Administrative Functions

    •  Attend monthly team meetings
    •  Attend assigned trainings and webinars
    •  Assist Institute Director with advisory board
    • Monitor payments, advising Institute Director when students are non- compliant
    • Work closely with Institute Director and Education team with student behavioral issues and other policy violations

    Qualifications

    Who is successful in this role?

    A successful Student Services Coordinator has at least three years’ experience in an administrative or support role, and should be exposed to the higher education environment either as a student, volunteer, employee or in another way. 

    The incumbent will have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint), with the capability of creating mail merges, performing calculations and using formulas in Excel, editing and formatting documents and spreadsheets, and maintaining digital documents.

    In addition, professionalism, presentation and superb customer service skills are necessary as the Student Services Coordinator will be involved with advisory boards, student assemblies and orientations, and conversations with students, parents and others.
