Position Summary:

Responsible for the operation and driving of school buses and the safe transportation of students and other passengers. All applicants must be at least 21 years old; have a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check. DTC offers part-time, split-shift opportunities that work well with other careers! We have opportunities for the stay-at-home parent as well as work for the recent retiree, all at competitive wages.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.

Have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and continuously maintain and satisfy all requirements for Class B, C, and D licenses and S and P endorsements.

Ability with training to safely operate safety equipment and adaptive equipment.

Ability to interact positively with all students including students with disabilities or special needs.

Regular attendance and punctuality are required.

Candidates who receive a conditional offer of employment will be required to complete a background check, physical and tuberculosis test, and fitness for duty/drug screen.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for a school bus driver. Work involves driving buses and assisting passengers in a variety of driving and weather conditions.
