    DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is seeking full-time Kennel Assistants to join our team in the ER.

    As a Kennel Assistant , you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sterile work environment. Tasks will include laundry, garbage services, kennel cleaning, exam room and isolation protocol cleaning, maintaining supply levels throughout the hospital, providing animal care for patients such as walking and providing clean water, assisting with animal restraint, and transporting patients safely from the parking lot to the hospital and back, as well as other miscellaneous tasks.

    A genuine love of and respect for all animals is required, as is an appreciation of the human-animal bond.

    Wage: $16-18 hourly, plus weekend and overnight differentials for qualifying shifts.

    Schedule: Kennel Assistants work 3/4 rotating schedules with 10 hours shifts. This means you have a consistent schedule that makes planning the rest of your life easy, and you get 3 or 4 days off in a row every week!

    Currently hiring for all shifts (Day, Swing, and Overnight)

    What are we looking for in a candidate?

    • Knowledge of veterinary practice safety measures.
    • Understanding of animal behavior and knowledge of safe animal handling and transport practices.
    • Ability to communicate with co-workers, clients, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.
    • Ability to have a flexible schedule and work varied shifts as needed, including holidays and on-call.
    • Experience or education equivalent to a High School diploma.
    • Experience in a veterinary facility preferred.
