DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is hiring a full-time ANIMAL CARE ASSISTANT to join our Diagnostic Imaging team.

As an Animal Care Assistant (or Technician Assistant) for the Diagnostic Imaging team, you will assist with appointments and client education, provide restraint and preparatory work for diagnostic ultrasounds and other diagnostic imaging and work closely with our Radiologist and Imaging Technician.

You will also assist in administrative and computer work to facilitate the processing of images, maintain a clean and sterile work environment, assist with laundry and stocking and float to other departments to assist as needed. This is a physically demanding and intellectually fulfilling role in a busy department.

What are we looking for in a candidate?

• Experience or education equivalent to a High School Diploma
• Valid Oregon driver's license for driving the DoveLewis transport van is required
• Experience working in a veterinary clinic, kennel, shelter, research facility/organization or animal daycare strongly preferred, prior experience in specialty veterinary medicine a bonus.
• Any suitable combination of experience or education may substitute for the above
• Wage: Starts at $17/hour
