    WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING A NEUROLOGY TECHNICIAN TO JOIN OUR TEAM!

    DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is a non-profit, AAHA-accredited and VECCS Level 1-certified client focused and teaching hospital in beautiful Portland, Oregon. We are a multi-specialty hospital and have expansion of our specialties and our hospital in the near future! With this expansion fast approaching we are looking for a Neurology Technician with a passion for veterinary medicine to help round out our team and expand our patient care outreach.

    As a Technician and a member of our Neurology team, you will be responsible for providing care to patients in conjunction with our Neurologist. We are looking for an individual that is passionate and excited about practicing the highest quality medicine, strives for excellence, has great interpersonal skills, and approaches patients and clients in a compassionate and empathetic manner.

    Neurology technicians assist with the care of neurology service patients, performing anesthesia, facilitating imaging with our 64-slice CT and brand new MRI and assisting with neurosurgery in addition to other facets of patient care.

    Because of our hospital's client-centered nature, this role requires your commitment to providing both patients and clients with the highest standard of care. Your ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment with compassion, efficiency, and flexibility is key to success in this role.

    Wage: $26 to $34 per hour depending on experience. Additional wage consideration for VTS certification.

    What are we looking for in a candidate?

    • Minimum 3 years experience as veterinarian technician
    • Preferred minimum of one year neurology or other specialty care experience
    • VTS  or CVT preferred
    • Experience in specialty animal care in private, non-profit, or educational organization preferred.
    • Any suitable combination of experience or education may substitute.
