    DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is hiring a Fundraising Events and Volunteer Specialist to join our development team.

    DoveLewis is a different kind of veterinary hospital. As a non-profit with no private equity or corporate investors, we have built a collaborative community that is dedicated to serving every animal and every person who cares for them, including our staff!

    The Fundraising Events and Volunteer Specialist is responsible for managing and executing the logistics of DoveLewis events, with special focus on DoveLewis' top signature events. This position also cultivates and maintains DoveLewis' volunteer base including conducting volunteer orientation and training, maintaining regular communication and keeping volunteers engaged. This position is part of the development team and coordinates regularly with the Marketing team to ensure maximum participation and outreach for events.

    A genuine love of and respect for all animals is required, as is an appreciation of the human-animal bond.

    Salary range is $55,000 - 65,000 depending on education, certification and experience.

    What are we looking for in a candidate?

    • Experience or education equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in fundraising, event planning, project management, or other related field.
    • Minimum of two years' experience in event management and fundraising within a non-profit organization.
    • Experience using donor database desired (Raiser's Edge preferred).
    • Experience using event software (Greater Giving preferred).
    • Any suitable combination of experience or education will substitute.
