About the Role
We are looking for a People Operations Generalist to help support our growing company in the everyday operation our business! This position encompasses administrative, clerical, analytical, and human resources responsibilities, for someone looking for a diverse scope of work and having a meaningful impact on the company. The People Ops Generalist reports directly to the Director of People Operations and collaborates closely with team members throughout all departments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Facilitate all People Operations functions, such as onboarding / offboarding, benefit & compensation administration, payroll, time off requests, and performance management
- Complete periodic and regular audits ensuring wage rates, deductions and withholdings, and savings contributions are accurate
- Help facilitate company recruiting and candidate screening processes
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations. Work with Finance and Paylocity to ensure all municipal reporting requirements are known and met
- Facilitate occasional company and executive functions (e.g. inventory, catering, trips, budgeting, and more)
- Build and implement a system to support an inclusive and diverse community throughout the company
- Facilitate and lead employee relations activities, including conducting internal audits and disciplinary meetings
- Plan and direct employee engagement events, which promote a high-performing, inclusive, and mission-driven culture
- Maintain awareness of industry best practices for data maintenance handling as it relates to your role
- Adhere to policies, guidelines and procedures pertaining to the protection of information assets
- Think creatively and through engaging with the broader team, about ongoing company engagement and appreciation efforts, including gifting and swag
- Support the People Ops department, the Finance department, and Executive leadership team with ad hoc projects and reporting as assigned
- Manage department expense reporting
- Identify and implement processes that could be improved and/or documented for the company, department, and/or managers.
- Help embody and promote company culture by engaging with all team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-4 years of Human Resources / People Operations experience, preferably at a high-growth tech company / start-up
- High emotional and social intelligence with experience fostering positive, strong relationships with diverse groups of people
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate a high level of professionalism
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; you can handle multiple projects and dynamic priorities without missing a beat
- Passionate about people and how they function together to create a valuable organization
