POSITION TITLE: PRINCIPAL (5th - 12th grade) WORK LOCATION : DR. R.W. GOINES PREPARATORY ACADEMY- ARLINGTON, TX Work hours: Monday - Thursday (4 day school week) The Preparatory Academy's purpose is to prepare tomorrow's leaders to be excellent Spiritually, Academically, Socially, and Mentally. Master's degree preferred Administrative experience in an educational setting with demonstrated leadership qualities required. Leadership/Administrative Certification preferred Requirements: · 5+ years teaching experience · 3+ years in educational leadership position Principal Duties of the Dean of Academics and Students 1. Supports and upholds the mission and vision of RWG Academy 2. Demonstrate visible, active leadership in the daily life of the school 3. Work collaboratively as part of the administration team to support students, parents, and faculty 4. Provides instructional feedback to teachers 5. Assist in planning and facilitating staff development 6. Conduct appraisal of teachers 7. Responds to parent inquiries and concerns appropriately and in a timely manner 8. Works with Academic Advisor in creating and developing master schedule 9. Ensures that teachers are provided with necessary instructional materials 10. Oversees the development and implementation of staff and student handbook 11. Handles violations of student code of conduct and discipline in a fair and consistent manner 12. Provides instructional coaching and feedback 13. Addresses and documents instructional concerns with teachers in a professional manner 14. Ensures that students follow the campus rules and guidelines 15. Support student/parent orientation and on-boarding process as needed 16. Schedule and conduct entry assessments and on-going student academic evaluations 17. Works with department leads to ensure effective instruction 18. Evaluate curriculum aligned with campus academic rigor 19. Collaborate with Dean of Student Affairs in planning and scheduling campus events, outings, etc. 20. Attend all campus events, celebrations, and community events sponsored by RWG 21. Meet with department leads to ensure effective lesson planning and alignment of instruction 22. Work with Academic Advisor and Dean of Student Affairs in maintaining critical data points that reflect the progress of the campus and alignment of the campus improvement plan 23. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills Skills: Proficient in computer skills: Microsoft/Google Knowledge of Learning Management Systems: Canvas, Edgenuity, Google Classroom Additional Information: Salary : 65K-71K (commensurate with experience and certification) School enrollment : 60-80 students To Apply: RWG is seeking a Principal for the 2023-2024 academic year.
