Job Description

We are a boutique accounting firm located in Manhattan specializing in tax preparation for individuals in the creative arts industries and their businesses. We are seeking an experiencedTax Associate with 3 to 5 years of tax compliance experience.

This is a contract position with the possibility of becoming full-time. This position is an integral part of the success of our firm and a great opportunity for a charismatic, confident, experienced Senior Tax Associate to work with a small dedicated team. The ideal candidate must take initiative and exercise independent thinking.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: • Preparation of C-Corp, S-Corp and partnership income tax returns • Preparation of complex individual returns • Research and consult on client tax matters • Respond to inquiries from the IRS and various other tax authorities • Review tax returns completed by junior staff

QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, finance or business is preferred. Other degrees will be considered based on level of relevant experience. • Strong accounting and analytical skills/attention to detail. • Understanding of accounting principles and new tax laws necessary to assist with the busy tax season. • Knowledge and proficiency of ProSeries a plus.

Compensation is based on qualifications. As well as a signing/bonus incentive for employees who work the entire 2020 Tax Season
