  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for an experienced drafter with superb time management and communication skills. Our ideal applicant will have experience working on architectural construction projects and interior design, including new construction and remodels. Requires high-level proficiency in CAD. Screening questions must be completed to be considered for the position. Responsibilities: • Produce complete construction drawing packages from schematic design through construction. Participate in field verification and site measurements when required. • Develop floor plans, demolition plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, cabinetry and millwork details, finish plans, schedules, and custom details. May require electrical or roof plans. • Ensure all drawing sets are coordinated, dimensioned, and buildable. • Review drawings for accuracy, consistency, and code awareness before lead design, client, or contractor issuance. Resolve technical conflicts before construction begins. • Translate design intent into technically accurate construction documents while preserving the creative vision. • Ensure the end product meets the client’s style, quality, and budget expectations by consulting with project leads. • Ensure standards compliance with client, utility, and industry drafting requirements • Improve drafting workflows, efficiency, and quality control processes. • Establish and maintain Monarch & Maker drafting standards, templates, and CAD/BIM libraries. Qualifications: • Highly proficient with AutoCAD software. • 4+ years of experience in architectural, residential, and/or commercial drafting or similar. Experience producing construction documents for luxury custom residential projects. • Self-starter. Detail-oriented. Resourceful. Takes ownership. • Strong time management skills. Excellent prioritization skills. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong sense of urgency. Meets deadlines consistently. • Strong understanding of residential construction methods, detailing, and building systems. Compensation: $20 - $28 hourly
