CDL A – Short Haul drivers 150-mile radius of Bluffton/Fort Wayne You're busy and all the job postings sound the same, so we will keep this simple. We are hiring a few drivers, if after reading this you are interested and qualified let’s talk. DRAGON TRUCKING: Dragon Trucking's owner has 38 years experience as a driver. He understands what a day in the life of a driver is like. If you drive for Dragon you will be respected and appreciated. Our equipment is clean and well-maintained. Our owner spends most of his time making sure we have good customers. Together we work hard to take care of our customers, if you aren’t into that, please don’t call. DETAILS: 1) HOME EVERY DAY, EVERY WEEKEND – There is occasional weekend work but it is almost always voluntary. 2) DRIVER PAY – $90,000 - Our drivers are currently paid 30% of the load all in, no games, we don’t subtract fuel and other misc. stuff like a lot of companies and do you can see the actual rate con from our customer. 3) SHIFTS AVAILABLE • 1st Shift starts at 3:00 AM - Most of our drivers work days. If we have the work, we will run evenings on a voluntary basis. • 2nd Shift starts at 8:00 PM - If you can work either days or evenings that is helpful, but not mandatory. 4) PAID WEEKLY - Direct deposit. Our drivers are paid W-2 wages, not as subcontractors. Responsibilities: • Communicate with customers in a polite and professional way to provide a positive customer experience • Compile any delivery-related paperwork or reports that are required • Drive safely • Be on time to work • Inspect your vehicle, follow DOT, FMCSA & Local regulations. • Be friendly to our customers • Work together to solve problems and take care of our customers and your fellow drivers Qualifications: • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and a clean driving record are required • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) • Must have 3 years CDL driving experience • Must be flexible – Short haul trucking has been described as controlled chaos. It is common for drivers to re-arrange their schedules mid-day and/or work longer hours to satisfy our customer’s needs • Preferably live within an hour of our main yard in Bluffton, IN. Trucks stay at the yard • CDL Class A license, must meet all DOT/FMCSA requirements and have a good driving record Compensation: $90,000 yearly
