    Job Summary

    We are seeking a skilled and motivated Drain Technician to diagnose, clear, repair, and maintain residential and commercial drainage systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with drain cleaning equipment, a strong mechanical mindset, and a professional customer-focused attitude. This role involves working directly with customers, troubleshooting clogs and backups, performing drain cleaning services, and recommending long-term solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Diagnose and clear drain blockages in sinks, tubs, floor drains, mainlines, and sewer systems

    Operate tools and equipment such as:

    Drain snakes / augers

    Hydro-jetting machines

    Sewer inspection cameras

    Locators and line tracing equipment

    Perform residential and commercial drain cleaning and preventive maintenance

    Document findings, provide repair recommendations, and educate customers

    Complete service tickets, estimates, and invoices using mobile CRM software

    Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and equipment

    Follow all safety procedures and OSHA standards

    Participate in on-call rotation as required

    Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance

    Requirements

    1–3+ years of drain cleaning or plumbing experience preferred (will train the right candidate)

    Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

    Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in crawlspaces, basements, and various environments

    Knowledge of sewer and drain systems, including ABS/PVC/cast-iron piping

    Experience with sewer cameras, augers, and jetting equipment is a plus

    Strong problem-solving and communication skills

    Comfortable using tablets/CRM systems (ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, FieldEdge, etc.)

    Must pass background check and drug screening (company policy)

    Preferred Qualifications

    Prior residential or commercial plumbing/drain service experience

    Experience with hydro-jetting and high-pressure cleaning

    Ability to upsell or recommend system improvements ethically
