The SHOW INTEGRATION SPECIALIST is responsible for the integration of the tracking and experience system technology components of Dreamscape's retail VR platform installations.  Dreamscape's proprietary system is a combination of performance capture hardware and software, LAN party style client/server gaming platform, stage show system, theatrical distribution network, and retail operations backend.  You will oversee the development and evolution, installation and maintenance of the totality of the installed systems that enable Dreamscape's experiences, with an eye towards retail scalability and operational robustness.  You will be responsible for ensuring the theatrical experience systems installed at Dreamscape facilities worldwide are developed to maintain their competitive advantage, are commissioned properly and operate smoothly. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with operations partners to recruit, train, and oversee local integration supervisors and technical operators. Ensure the smooth handoff of Dreamscape locations to on-site staff from a technical operations standpoint
• Travel to all new sites to inspect and buy off on the work of the local installation team, ensuring that each system is "show" ready at the time of turn over to the operator
• Develop and refine Dreamscape technical operations and maintenance manuals.
• Conduct technical training sessions with local technical operators, and oversee initial operations at new sites.
• Act as tier-3 remote support for technical issues at sites worldwide
• Work to continuously refine the components of Dreamscape show systems to maximize their scalability, ease of operation, and robustness
• Take ownership of the intersection of the software platform with the tracking system, facility, show control, user equipment, and theatrical hardware.  Become the go-to resource for resolving any issues with design, engineering, fit, feasibility, or otherwise with respect to installing Dreamscape experience systems
• Working from our retail systems as a basis, work with Design and Engineering to develop custom installations that support specific use cases, each with diverse form factors and performance requirements
• Work with the platform CTO to integrate scalable theater system software features and enhancements when necessary to support the creative intent.
• Work with external providers to integrate and develop enhancements to the experience playback system as required
• As required, support the content developers in the design of show-specific haptics and special effects that integrate seamlessly into the physical theater environment
• Leverage your deep knowledge of the Dreamscape system, its constraints, and its advantages to assist the creative teams in maximizing the impact of their shows, while maintaining feasibility and scalability of Dreamscape installations

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5 to 10 years of experience with design, engineering, installation, and commissioning of control systems for electromechanical systems
• Excellent customer relationship management skills; Strong motivation to train and develop others in the operation and maintenance of Dreamscape retail installations
• Extensive knowledge of processors, components, and communication networks used in theatrical control system
• Demonstrated experience in theatrical or industrial control system installation, integration, and commissioning
• Solid understanding of IT networks and communication technologies/protocols
• Knowledge and familiarity with amusement and automation industry standards
• Proficient in developing and reading electrical schematics and one-line diagrams
• Experience in scheduling and estimating control systems development and implementation scope
• Demonstrated experienced in contractor/vendor management and technical contract documents
• Ability to travel and work both domestically and internationally
• Knowledge of software development tools (Integrated Development Environment (IDE), compilers, linkers, debuggers, etc)
• Strong analytical skills
