    Dreamscape has an immediate opening for a Contract Environmental Game Artist to create inspirational artwork. You have the extensive artistic and technical expertise and the ability to create immersive, living, and fully-realized environments. We're looking for a passionate, talented, driven artist, who enjoys collaborating with others to create immersive game experiences. 4-week contract to start. It could be extended and or move to a full-time role.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Creating and retopologizing high-poly sculpts and developing low poly in-game models based on original concepts
    • Integrating models in the engine to create environments
    • Working with programmers and art leads to create in-game levels
    • Creating original high-quality textures using various tools and middle-ware
    • Setting up materials and shaders in the engine to achieve the best possible final quality
    • Must cooperate effectively with other artists and designers
    • Must adhere to technical specifications when creating environmental assets
    • Maintain the production pipeline and meeting deadlines

    QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS 

    • 1-year industry experience or equivalent. 
    • Excellent skills in a modeling packages (3DS Max, Maya, etc.)
    • Good knowledge of composition, color theory, & lighting
    • Basic knowledge of physically based rendering (PBR) including creating, baking and setting up textures
    • Experience with procedural content creation packages (Substance Designer and Painter) 
    • Very creative and an excellent eye for detail
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team
    • Ability to easily communicate in English
