    Dreamscape has an immediate opening for an experienced Head of Production to support the development team and external partners in developing VR experiences based on intellectual property or original ideas. This position will work with multiple stakeholders, help ensure projects are planned, staffed, scheduled, executed, and communicated properly. Extensive expertise in project management, creative development, and team management that inspires and mentors others to do their best work.  We're looking for a passionate, versatile, and driven producer, who enjoys collaborating with others no matter the complexity of challenges, ensuring experiences are successfully launched. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Oversee multiple VR experiences at once, maintaining product vision throughout all phases of development including pre-production, production, beta, submission, and post-release content
    • Owning full operational aspects of the development, including establishing development framework, reporting, risk management, capacity planning, and resource management
    • Work with stakeholders to build and maintain project plans, schedules, and roadmaps considering dependencies across multiple development teams to ensure successful releases
    • Manage vertical and horizontal stakeholders' expectations throughout the development cycle. Provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance revenue goals against product realities
    • Proactively identifies risks associated with feature and release milestones; ensures necessary and appropriate steps are taken to resolve difficulties
    • Create, manage, and track development budgets, including but not limited to internal and outsourced support
    • Drive efficiencies and new ways of thinking with a goal of reducing waste and increasing efficiency
    • Create and maintain production schedules; leverage tools and production methodology to ensure deliverables are the highest quality, on time, and on budget
    • Actively solicits feedback on the experiences at various stages of development and works through feedback directly with creative leadership and development; partners with the production managers to become the primary points of contact for any suggested changes/fixes
    • Be a leader in growing and defining the production process for the content team, while refining the existing production pipelines.
    • Providing critical feedback and insight on the current monetization, release cadence, and event cadence plan to the stakeholders, while communicating these plans internally and externally
    • Leverage external production knowledge to secure innovative companies, potential vendors, and other prospects necessary to execute on projects.
    • Ensuring the team has the best organizational structure, processes, and practices that allow them to produce high quality work efficiently on time
    • Facilitate collaborative and effective communication across multiple teams
    • Coaching and mentoring a strong team and taking in active involvement in recruiting; onboarding and maintaining team morale

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum 7 years in the video game, virtual reality or movie industry, working in production or product development
    • Experience managing the execution of the game or movie development process to produce high-quality content within business parameters such as schedule, quality, and budget
    • Significant production experience in a senior production role with multiple shipped titles 
    • Deep knowledge of processes, designs, guidelines, and specifications to feature documentation to provide direction in production
    • Broad experience with production tools and practices, e.g., platform requirements, release management; JIRA or other premier bug tracking tools
    • Experience creating and maintaining project plans, in conjunction with the development team(s), including scope, resources, schedule, and budget
    • Have a creative mind with the discipline and organizational skills to execute on the vision
    • Solid ability to manage projects from concept to completion
    • Knowledge of gaming, virtual reality or movie production
    • A high-level understanding of project management and scheduling concepts.
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills in working with and managing individuals from a variety of disciplines
    • Work, lead and manage a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment
    • Exhibits behaviors necessary to provide and support a positive and creative atmosphere
    • A passion for delivering high-quality work and results
    • Experience working with internal and external development teams 
    • Experience working with licensors and licensed IP
    • Familiarity with art & UX tools used in game development (e.g. Unity, Maya, etc.) a plus
    • Start-up or growth company experience a plus
    • Experience with Shotgun or other asset management software
    • Ability to create, track, and maintain complex schedules
    • Self-starter with good critical thinking skills and ability to express ideas creatively required
    • Excellent team-building and motivational skills, especially written and verbal communication
    • Ability to be a team leader with a can-do attitude that has the ability to cope well with stress and tight deadlines
    • Superb communications skills, both written and verbal
