    Executive Director of Marketing

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    The Executive Director of Marketing is a senior executive marketing role responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to drive revenue, enhance visibility, promote the amenities of the Rio Las Vegas. This role requires a deep understanding of digital marketing channels, brand development, industry trends, and emerging technologies to drive the company's online presence and achieve marketing objectives. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive results in a competitive market.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position supervises all positions within the Marketing Department.

    ROLES EXPECTATIONS

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

    Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the property business plan, target markets, and brand positioning. Designs and implements marketing strategies to promote engagement, acquisition, and retention across all communication channels.

    Brand Management: Oversee brand development and management, ensuring consistency and alignment across all marketing initiatives and communications. Works with both external and internal resources to ensure all brand standards are upheld.

    Campaign Planning and Execution: Develop and execute marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing, advertising, social media, events, and public relations.

    Digital Marketing: Help lead a digital marketing team which includes media strategy and campaign development, social media strategy and creation, web development and management, and reputation management. Must have experience in search engines, social media, display networks, mobile advertising and data analytics.

    Team Leadership: Help build and lead a high-performing marketing team. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.

    Budget Management: Assist CMO in the development and management of all marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective marketing initiatives.

    Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with property leadership teams, including Food & Beverage, Convention Sales, Entertainment, Retail, Casino Marketing, CRM, Hotel, Revenue Management, and Human Resources to ensure brand execution and marketing strategies align with business goals and objectives.

    Performance Metrics and Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts. Regularly report on marketing performance and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

    Stay Current with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of the latest marketing trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices. Continuously assess and recommend new digital marketing tools, platforms, and strategies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.

    Promotions & Sponsorships: Leads in the creation and execution of on- and off-property promotions and activations, including property-wide events, product alignment, sports sponsorships and casino promotions.

    Compliance: Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures, specifically related to websites and promotions.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or equivalent experience in a related field.

    Minimum six to eight years of experience in marketing, advertising and digital marketing with supervisory experience.

    Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings.

    Must be comfortable with interacting and continual communications with C-level, VP and other senior management level positions.

    Ability to write effective letters, memos, presentation decks, and articles for publication.

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as digital reporting, financial reports and legal documents.

    Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from team members at all levels, guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    At least 21 years of age.

    CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.

    Must regularly lift and/move up to 10 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and exposed to various environmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust and smoke.
