Dreamwear is an industry leading creator of top quality, fashion-forward intimate apparel, shapewear and sleepwear. We have recently launched two new brands and are looking to hire a Color Team Specialist to take on some of the new workload. This person will also work on Product Development responsibilities, supporting across multiple teams as needed. The ideal candidate will be a detailed oriented individual with excellent communication and project coordination skills to manage multiple moving deadlines.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Designers to evaluate all print strike-offs to manage colors and patterns.
- Ability to apply strong knowledge of the color spectrum to comment on print strike-offs in a fast-paced environment.
- Exert independent approval/rejection of all main material and trim components based on color standards.
- Analyze and disseminate comments daily to overseas factories and suppliers.
- Anticipate, identify, and assess quality and fabric challenges.
- Act as liaison on color issues between product development and design to ensure production timelines are being met.
- Manage data and records throughout the approval process.
- Daily communication with overseas manufacturers and production offices.
- Follow up with factories for all pre-production, photo samples, customer samples, and TOP samples.
- Prepare purchase orders for overseas factories, track production, and monitor delivery status to ensure on-time delivery.
- Initiate and track samples, material requests, and approvals.
- Responsible for follow-up on all product specifications, quality standards, lab dips, testing, sample deadlines, and deliveries.
- Process all data entry into our production management system, including style set-up, and creating and maintaining purchase orders to the factory.
- Responsible for opening and distributing daily incoming packages from overseas vendors.
- Organize and maintain product development related samples throughout the office.
- Assist PD managers on projects as needed.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- 0-2 years relevant experience.
- Self-starter with ability to function independently as well as in a team-based environment.
- Excellent written & communication skills and necessary follow through.
- Great attention to details and deadlines with exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to think creatively with a proven ability in problem solving.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Seeking a person with the desire to learn and grow with the company.
