Position Summary

The Drink Runner supports bartenders and servers by delivering beverages efficiently and accurately while maintaining the aesthetic, energy, and hospitality standards of CALA. You are responsible for protecting cocktail integrity, ensuring presentation excellence, and supporting seamless service execution.

This role is fast-paced, team-oriented, and essential to maintaining the rhythm and flow of service. You move with purpose, awareness, and positivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Service & Execution

Deliver beverages from bar to guests promptly and accurately.

Verify drink accuracy before leaving the bar (garnish, glassware, modifiers, presentation).

Communicate clearly with bartenders and servers to maintain timing and flow.

Ensure beverages are placed properly and confidently at the table.

Announce drinks when appropriate and engage guests with warmth and professionalism.

Maintain cleanliness of bar areas, service stations, and drink trays.

Assist with glassware restocking and polishing as needed.

Guest Experience

Greet guests warmly when delivering beverages.

Be prepared to describe drinks briefly and confidently if asked.

Maintain a polished yet relaxed demeanor that reflects CALA’s Mediterranean spirit.

Anticipate needs and communicate opportunities to servers or bartenders.

Handle guest interactions with professionalism and positivity.

Team Support

Support bartenders during high-volume service.

Assist in maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient bar environment.

Communicate 86’d items or bar updates to the team as needed.

Uphold a team-first mentality.
