Schedule: • 10-hour shifts • Day shift • Overtime available • Weekends as needed • Year-round employment Responsibilities: Essential Duties & Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: • Operates vehicle in accordance with Live Oak Environmental Company, LLC Safety Rules, OSHA(Occupational and Safety Health Act), and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements, as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws • Performs pre-and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and documents checks on standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report) • Immediately report any unsafe situations or service-related issues to the Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch • Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by Live Oak Environmental, LLC • Works closely with Route Supervisor/Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices • Notifies the Route Supervisor/Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage • Notifies Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed lots, streets, alleyways, or potential safety hazards • Communicates customer requests to the Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch • Identifies and reports all containers in need of repair or replacement • Completes and submits customer tickets as required • Follows route assignments as directed and completes end-of-day documentation and the check-out process • This team will get in and out of the truck to load and unload the trash from the cart • Performs all duties as scheduled by the Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch, and assists other drivers as directed to meet customer needs Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. Education & Experience • Education: Not required • Experience: Two (2) year(s) of previous experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL C ertificates, Licenses, Registrations, or Other Requirements • Hold a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with an air brake endorsement • Must be at least 21 years of age • Air brake endorsements Other Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Required • Acceptable driving record required • Legally eligible to work in the United States • Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen and DOT physical Physical Requirements: • Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds • Pushing and Pulling: Ability to move carts or equipment • Reaching and Manipulation: Reaching for objects at various heights and performing fine motor tasks • Standing and Walking: Ability to remain on feet for long shifts or traverse long distances on various surfaces • Lifting and Support: Support and lift over 50 pounds • Climbing and Balancing: climb in and out of a garbage truck or stand on a back platform • Working Conditions: Must work in various environments, such as outdoor weather or extreme temperatures Compensation: $22 - $24 hourly
