About the Role:

Project Independence Services Inc is looking for a reliable and compassionate Driver to join our team in New Bedford, MA. Responsibilities:

Safely transport clients to and from program.

Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing in the vehicle as needed

Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle at all times

Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies

Communicate effectively with dispatchers, staff, and clients regarding schedules and route changes

Complete accurate trip logs, mileage reports, and other required documentation

Respond promptly and professionally to client needs during transport

Requirements:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Prior experience in passenger transport, paratransit, or a related driving role preferred

Ability to assist individuals with disabilities or special needs in a respectful and patient manner

Strong punctuality, reliability, and time management skills

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

CPR/First Aid certification is a plus

Strong communication and customer service skills
