    Job Summary:

    As a PCB Technical Analyst, you will be responsible for meticulously reviewing optical and x-ray images of differences in PCBAs to determine their root causes. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the product quality standards by identifying issues such as foreign objects, damage, rework, changes, unexplained anomalies, and other variations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review optical and x-ray images of PCBAs to identify discrepancies, including but not limited to:
      • Foreign object [ e.g., hair, dirt, ...]
      • Damage [ e.g., scratch, missing component, displaced component, bent component, ...]
      • Rework [ e.g., rework reference]
      • Change [ e.g., equivalent component reference,]
      • Unexplained [ e.g., component, IC markings, solder spots, traces, etc.]
      • Other [ e.g., lighting artifact, describe others]
    • Prioritize identified differences based on predefined criteria of importance and impact on product quality.
    • Determine the appropriate course of action for remediation, which may include recording and accepting differences or escalating findings to other teams, such as hardware engineering.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues and discrepancies.
    • Maintain thorough and organized records of all findings and actions taken.
    • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical team members.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of PCB components and electronic manufacturing processes.
    • Previous experience in quality control or a similar role is highly desirable.
    • Proficiency in reviewing optical and x-ray images to identify anomalies and differences.
    • Detail-oriented with a critical eye for identifying even the subtlest variations.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey findings and recommendations.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Prior experience in hardware engineering or related fields is a plus.
