    Droplette is a biotech company revolutionizing transdermal delivery of formulations for cosmetic and medical applications: we are building a disruptive needle-free platform technology comprising a connected device and an underlying software data platform, with groundbreaking applications in cosmetics, gene delivery, and healthcare. We are backed by top tier VCs having just closed our series A funding.

    We're seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Lead that can help us grow and scale our production processes and work closely with our hardware team on engineering design, testing, and production. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of selecting and working closely with contract manufacturers (CMs) and other critical suppliers for plastic injection molding, EMS, electromechanical components (such as pumps), and chemicals. A key piece of our technology is that the system consists of both device as well as a consumable component (similar to a nespresso pod or a KCup). Experience with technologies that utilize consumables is a big pro.     WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Build a world class manufacturing and quality team through motivating, hiring, appraising, coaching, training, and challenging the team members.
    • Collaborate with engineering functional leads to establish and complete project and program objectives
    • Own meeting production schedules, quality standards and delivery requirements.
    • Lead continuous improvement activities through the use of lean manufacturing techniques and methods.
    • Demonstrated experience leading  the design of an automated process to allow rapid scaling and high quality.
    • Drive product cost reduction while improving quality and functionality. Actively work with design and manufacturing engineers to implement design and manufacturing improvements..
    • Extensive knowledge of both prototype and production manufacturing techniques including rapid prototyping, machining, casting, forging, molding, stamping, etc.
    • Support new product development by ensuring that components are designed for manufacturability and that processes/procedures are adhered to in relation to quality, method and cost
    • Excellent communications skills to effectively work with global supplier base in order to have close attention to detail while being fast paced and fast acting
    • Demonstrated ability to develop supply chain for all types of components and assembly need
    • Ability to create, check and detail technical drawings systems, components and interfaces
    • Support new product development by ensuring that components are designed for manufacturability (DFM) and that processes/procedures are adhered to in relation to quality, method and cost.
    • Hands-on support of test development and execution.
    • Lead production risk identification and mitigation efforts including PFMEA.
    • Support supplier qualification process and initial quality review including PPAP.

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

    • Minimum of Bachelor of Science in relevant engineering field.

    • Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience.

    • High volume manufacturing experience

    • Minimum of 5 years managing in a manufacturing setting

    • Significant experience with electro-mechanical assemblies.

    • Competency in injection molding, machining, PCBA and sheet metal.

    • High volume production, preferably in consumer products.

    • Experience with consumables

    • CAD design, preferably Solidworks.

    • Highly knowledgeable in GD&T

    • Experience with PLM systems

    • Excellent communication and cross functional collaboration skills

    • Ability to be hands on as well as drive/mange team members

    • Knowledge of SPC

    • Must have experience working on the ground with suppliers and contract manufacturers overseas

    • Experience designing custom fixtures and test equipment for manufacturing electromechanical products is a plus
