    We're looking for an engineer to join our team who can help drive product development for our venture-backed company. The ideal candidate will have experience in design transfer and NPI in the medical device industry working to establish robust manufacturing processes and driving suppliers to ensure high quality execution of prototype and production parts.  This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity with competitive salary and benefits where you'll get to work at a fast-paced and highly innovative start up to make a big impact across multiple sectors.

    In this role, you will work on a wide range of projects and assignments, including:

    • Assist with transfer of new products to manufacturing. Collaborate with R&D and others to develop production processes, tools, and equipment. Review designs for DFM.
    • Create and update all forms of manufacturing documentation.
    • Specify, create and assemble product assembly and test fixtures.
    • Write and/or execute Installation Qualifications (IQ), Operational Qualifications (OQ), Performance Qualifications (PQ), Validations, Design of Experiment (DOE), Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Process Master Validation Plans and Continuous Improvement studies/evaluations.
    • Oversee and ensure appropriate qualifications and validations are completed by supply chain partners.
    • Train assemblers and operators regarding new processes and assemblies.
    • Provide day to day technical floor support by investigation and resolution of issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement programs to reduce cost, cycle times and increase quality.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering; additional coursework in electrical or software engineering is a plus.
    • At least 5 years of experience, preferably working with high volume consumable components
    • Capable of working with 3D modeling software (SolidWorks preferred) and the Microsoft Suite.
    • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
