As a Senior Back-End Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building custom Drupal applications, modules, and websites for federal, state, and local government agencies. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and participate in project meetings to align on goals and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing scalable back-end architectures within Drupal

• Evaluating and customizing modules to meet specific project requirements

• Building secure custom API integrations and automated workflows

• Ensuring compliance with government security standards and accessibility requirements (e.g., Section 508)

Your Profile

We’re looking for an experienced, solutions-oriented engineer with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset. You should have:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, development, or a related technical discipline

• Proven experience delivering and maintaining production-level back-end systems in one or more of the following: PHP, JavaScript, or Python

• Deep understanding of CMS architecture, especially with Drupal, WordPress, or headless CMS platforms

• Proficiency in back-end frameworks, modern development practices, and database design/optimization

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to secure, high-quality software delivery

• Strong communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience mentoring other engineers and contributing to a growth-oriented team environment

• Eligibility to obtain a federal background check and Public Trust clearance
