As a Senior Back-End Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building custom Drupal applications, modules, and websites for federal, state, and local government agencies. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and participate in project meetings to align on goals and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
Designing and developing scalable back-end architectures within Drupal
Evaluating and customizing modules to meet specific project requirements
Building secure custom API integrations and automated workflows
Ensuring compliance with government security standards and accessibility requirements (e.g., Section 508)
Your Profile
We’re looking for an experienced, solutions-oriented engineer with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset. You should have:
5+ years of experience in software engineering, development, or a related technical discipline
Proven experience delivering and maintaining production-level back-end systems in one or more of the following: PHP, JavaScript, or Python
Deep understanding of CMS architecture, especially with Drupal, WordPress, or headless CMS platforms
Proficiency in back-end frameworks, modern development practices, and database design/optimization
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to secure, high-quality software delivery
Strong communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience mentoring other engineers and contributing to a growth-oriented team environment
Eligibility to obtain a federal background check and Public Trust clearance
