Job Description
We are a professional consulting firm who specializes in dry utility design and contract coordination for Industrial, Commercial, Residential and Mixed-Use projects throughout the United States looking for a self-motivated individual to take on our full-time position of Project Coordinator at our office in Tempe, AZ.
Experience with Autocad and understanding of architectural/ engineering plans strongly preferred but not required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
• Assist Project Managers and President in maintaining project control.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Monitoring and tracking of the progress of projects
• Follow-up as required to assure utility company compliance with negotiated time, specification and performance schedules.
• Follow-up with client contacts as directed for obtaining necessary information, plans, data, specifications and other items critical to the proper flow of information for the project and deadline.
• Arrangement and attendance of necessary meeting times on various web meeting platforms. Some field meetings and site visits required but less frequent due to COVID-19.
• Identifying project scheduling and information problems, initiating remedy and notifying the Project Manager.
• Filing reports, records, and correspondence necessary to maintain filing system for projects.
• Compile plan packages and cover letters for submittal to utilities or other agencies as needed.
• Check correctness of contracts and customer payments for compliance with utility company requirements.
• Follow up with necessary information and data to ensure correct/timely billing.
• Make field trips in the performance of these duties as required or directed.
CHARACTERISTICS:

• Must be able to take initiative in searching out information and finding solutions.
• Must be persistent and assertive, but not abrasive.
• Must be a creative problem-solver.
• Must possess excellent writing abilities and communicate well and clearly with others.
• Familiarity with engineering and architectural plans/drawings preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
• College graduate preferred.
• Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license.
• Must possess current DMV vehicle registration and car insurance minimums (to be discussed further upon hire).
• Open to travel in future a plus.
• Must be willing to work in-office M-TH 8 AM to 5 PM and F 7 AM to 4 PM.

Our role in the development team is to save our Clients’ time and money by providing accurate/up-to-date information, being a positive liaison with dry utility companies, and proactively managing the dry utility coordination process. We are currently a staff of 11, including experienced project management and administrative staff, and always looking to expand both our team and bandwidth.
