Once the heavy lifting of waterproofing and foundation repair is complete, our customers rely on us to restore their living spaces to a "better-than-new" condition. We are looking for a meticulous Drywall Installer who takes pride in seamless finishes and understands the nuances of basement restoration.
Job Summary
The Drywall Installer will be responsible for hanging, taping, and finishing drywall in residential and commercial basements following waterproofing projects. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that every project is completed with precision, meeting our high standards for moisture-resistant construction and aesthetic quality.
Key Responsibilities
Installation: Measure, cut, and hang drywall sheets (including mold-resistant/green board) to cover walls and ceilings.
Finishing: Apply tape, bedding, and finishing coats of joint compound to create smooth, seamless surfaces.
Texturing: Match existing wall textures (knockdown, orange peel, or smooth) to ensure a cohesive look with unrepaired sections.
Sanding: Perform dust-controlled sanding to prepare surfaces for painting.
Subfloor/Framing Prep: Occasional minor framing repairs or shim adjustments to ensure walls are plumb before hanging.
Site Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring dust and debris are contained and cleared daily.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 2+ years of professional drywall installation and finishing experience (required).
Technical Skill: Expert-level proficiency in taping and mudding (levels 3, 4, and 5).
Knowledge: Understanding of moisture-resistant materials and basement-specific construction needs.
Tools: Must own basic hand tools (taping knives, pans, hawks, etc.). Power tools provided or negotiable.
Reliability: Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to get to various job sites.
Attention to Detail: Ability to spot imperfections and fix them before the job is considered "done."
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry drywall sheets (up to 50–75 lbs).
Comfortable working in basement environments.
Ability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
