Karing Hands is looking for a specialized, highly flexible caregiver who provides support to individuals with developmental disabilities across various residential or community settings, rather than being assigned to one permanent location. They are primarily used to fill staffing gaps caused by call-offs, vacations, or emergencies, ensuring that high-quality,
Flexibility & Travel: Floaters must be willing to travel to different homes, sites, or counties (e.g., Summit, Stark, Wayne ) to cover varied shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends.
Role Requirements: Must have their own reliable transportation, a valid Ohio driver's license with limited points, and sometimes 1–2 years of prior DSP experience.
Job Duties: Responsibilities mirror regular DSPs—assisting with daily living tasks, personal hygiene (bathing, toileting, changing), meal preparation, medication administration, and transporting individuals to community outings.
Compensation & Benefits: Due to the required flexibility, Floater positions will start at $17:50
Documentation: The floater must be trained at multiple sites to ensure they can maintain accurate, daily documentation of client activities in accordance with Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and Ohio DODD (Department of Developmental Disabilities)
