    Job Description for Analyst, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) 1-2 years’ experience We’re looking for a skilled SEO Analyst, with experience of working with mid to large scale businesses, experience with e-commerce SEO is a plus. This role is a hybrid of art and science, combining an understanding of the ever-changing organic landscape with the technical skills required to execute.  Our new SEO Analyst will help analyze SEO performance and provide ongoing recommendations to improve organic visibility for our clients. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, keeps up to date with the latest industry best practices, and can work closely with the team (including web development, web design, content marketing, and more) to support the execution of a successful SEO strategy. Our Ideal candidate has a strong sense of technical SEO understanding and the ability to effectively communicate recommendations with our clients. Key Functional Areas of ResponsibilityPerform keyword research in coordination with client business objectives to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunitiesProvide SEO analysis and recommendations in coordination with elements and structure of websites and web pagesProvide recommendations and execute strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals – general and keyword specificAdminister search engine programs (XML sitemaps, shopping feeds, webmaster tools) for purposes of diagnostic reporting on client projectsAssist in the development and execution of communication/content strategies via social communities in coordination with SEO goalsCreate, Monitor, and administer web analytics dashboards, reports, and key reporting tools, and point out key areas of importance in accordance with client goalsMonitor and evaluate search results and search performance across the major search channelsEffectively document the findings and recommendations that match the company deliverables quality and depthWork closely with the other team members to meet client goalsUnderstands technical SEO roadblocks and can recommend a solutionAnalysis / Reporting / DeliverablesAnalyze and report weekly SEO performance internally and externally.Tracks, analyze and report on various sources – Client vs. competitive set - including but not limited to Google Analytics, SearchMetrics, Botify, BrightEdge, SEMRush, Screaming Frog and various other SEO tools.Present (via phone, video, or in-person) SEO deliverables on weekly/monthly KPI reports.Participate in and present quarterly business reports including travel to client offices.Professional CompetenciesPassion for SEO and internet marketingOutstanding ability to think creatively, and identify and resolve problemsAttention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphereAbility to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and pointsHigh levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivationExcellent analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills What You’ll Bring:  Minimum 1+ years of search engine optimization experienceExtensive knowledge of the search engine industry and knowledge of search engine algorithms.Strong understanding of core SEO practices including keyword research methodology and link building.Strong ability to understand and execute technical SEO requirements.Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office suite. Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel is a must!Comfortable liaising with senior-level stakeholders.Must be an adaptable, flexible team-player who actively seeks constructive feedback.Meticulous attention to detail and execution against tight timelines.Minimum 1+ yrs. experience working in Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics.Minimum 1+ yrs. experience working in 3rd party SEO tools such as SearchMetrics, BrightEdge, SEMRush, SimilarWeb, etc.Experience with Google Data Studio is a plus.General knowledge of e-commerce platforms and usability principles like Salesforce commerce cloud, Shopify, etc., is a plus. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with current SEO techniques and tools and have excellent analytical skills. Perks:  Competitive salary and bonus structureCompany-sponsored medical, dental, vision, life/ADD, and long-term disability insuranceGenerous PTO, starting at 3 weeks/yearFlexible Spending Account401(k) with fully vested 4% employer matchingCompany phone or cell plan reimbursementThe latest Apple or PC equipmentDog-friendly Fridays in the officeFlexible hoursCompany-sponsored parkingFully stocked kitchen Still, reading?
