Job Description

DuPage Montessori School in Wheaton is looking for a full time, teacher assistant who can help create innovated lessons and enhance the learning environment of the students. Ideal candidate enjoys working with children, understands how they learn and is dedicated to creating a nurturing learning environment. Responsibilities include assisting in developing lesson plans. Working with the children in the classroom to promote learning and development. Collaborate with the teacher to monitor development of the child. Understand the teachers routine when it comes to delivering a lesson and running the classroom in the event of the teachers absence.

High School/GED required (Associates preferred)

Valid ECE Certification preferred

1 year of experience or Paraprofessional prefered

Nurturing teaching approach

This is a full time, 9 1/2 month position from 8:00-4:00 Monday through Friday. Montessori experience a plus but not needed. Summer employment is optional. Salary based on experience.

DuPage Montessori School is a Montessori school with locations in Naperville and Wheaton. Our Naperville location enrolls students from 15 months to 8th grade. Our Wheaton location goes from ages 3 to 6 (PreK to Kindergarten). We have Toddler, Preschool, Kindergarten and Elementary programs grounded in the Montessori teaching method. We pride ourselves on having the most advanced and comprehensive Montessori curriculum available. We have created many materials which other schools do not have.
