Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Dual Esthetician/Medical Assistant to join our dermatology team. This unique hybrid position combines clinical patient care with esthetic services, offering the right candidate an exciting opportunity to help expand and promote the cosmetic side of our practice.

The ideal candidate is passionate about skincare, patient experience, and aesthetics, with a strong understanding of both medical and cosmetic dermatology. You will assist providers in medical procedures while also performing and promoting esthetic treatments to enhance patient satisfaction and practice growth.

Medical Assistant Responsibilities: Can train

Assist providers with general dermatology procedures (biopsies, excisions, acne treatments, etc.)

Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supply inventory

Input data into EMR

Support patients through follow-up and aftercare instructions

Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations

Scheduling patients

Esthetician Responsibilities:

Perform medical-grade aesthetic services such as:

Cosmetic Chemical peels

Acne facials

Dermaplaning

Some other treatments:

Facial

Microneedling

Chemical peels

Conduct personalized skin consultations and recommend appropriate services and products

Educate patients on treatment benefits and post-care instructions

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional treatment environment

Growth & Promotion Responsibilities:

Actively promote aesthetic services to both new and existing patients

Create awareness of cosmetic offerings through patient education, in-office signage, and collaboration with the front desk team

Stay current on aesthetic trends and suggest new services/products to expand our offerings

Support marketing efforts (e.g., events, before/after photos, testimonials, social media content as approved)

Build and maintain a loyal cosmetic client base

Qualifications:

Required:

Active Esthetician License in Florida

1+ years' experience in aesthetics

Comfortable promoting services and educating clients

Professional and polished communication skills

Team-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently

Interest in social media, patient outreach, or marketing support

Preferred:

Familiarity with medical-grade skincare products

Knowledge of EMR systems

Dermatology experience ++
