    Remote, but must be based in the U.S.

    Salary: $55,000 - $60,000

    We are seeking two dynamic faculty members who are committed to excellence in teaching and providing students with the most industry-relevant business education in undergraduate and MBA courses. Our ideal candidate has 2+ years of online teaching experience, 3+ years of relevant industry experience, and specialization in health management, luxury brand marketing, or education leadership is strongly preferred.

    About the Role

    Reporting to the Head of Academic Affairs and supported by the relevant Undergraduate or

    Postgraduate Academic Leads, Academic Faculty Members at Ducere are an integral part of the delivery of innovative online undergraduate and postgraduate business education programs.

    These programs are delivered in partnership with Universities in the UK and Australia and adhere to best practice online program delivery and compliance with University Partner policy.

    At Ducere, academic faculty members are held accountable in three key areas:

    • Student Retention and Progression
    • Student Engagement
    • Effective utilisation of online tools and resources in teaching practice.

    Academic Faculty Responsibilities:

    Teaching and Learning Planning

    What is included:

    • understanding a subjects’ content, and planning student engagement
    • student to academic faculty: Webinars, 1:1s, content enrichment
    • student to students: posts stimulating interaction
    • student to content: posts, vlogs, links

    How is it executed:

    • student to academic faculty:
    • preparation of webinars, content enrichment, video recordings, written posts
    • student to students:
    • preparation of post, links to stimulate interaction, questions, small group activities.
    • student to content preparation of posts, vlogs, links back to content.

    Teaching and Learning Delivery

    What is included:

    • facilitating student understanding of subject content; concepts and practical application,
    • assessment requirements & assessment rubrics
    • responding to assessment queries
    • referencing
    • enriching the learning content with real-life examples.

    How it is executed:

    • Implementation of teaching and learning plan above.

    Academic Skills Coaching (Graduation Coaches and Faculty collaboration, and Canvas Content)

    What is included:

    • understanding referencing requirements, academic requirements for the relevant AQF level, sharing effective academic study tips and strategies, referring to university resources

    How is it executed:

    • webinars (Microsoft teams/Zoom),
    • discussion forum (Canvas)
    • 1:1’s (Zoom or Canvas)
    • email inbox,
    • Canvas inbox,
    • tutorials/drop in sessions
    • video messages.

    Collaboration with Ducere Graduation Coaches Team

    What is included:

    • academic integrity concerns (high similarity score, plagiarism, etc),
    • assignment submission issues,assignment extension queries from students.
    • identification of at-risk students.

    How is it executed:

    • (m)ba support inboxes,
    • Canvas inboxes, incoming and outgoing calls.
    • Maintaining feedback loops
    • Collaboration sessions

    What your day will look like:

    • Teach and facilitate undergraduate and/or postgraduate units, sharing your passion and real-world experience.
    • Provide ongoing support via our online LMS (Canvas) and explain and align content to real world application.
    • Generate online discussion and student engagement through case studies, current affairs examples, personal experience etc.
    • Prepare webinar content and slides and deliver webinars via Microsoft Teams and or Zoom focused on linking content with application and assignment requirements.
    • Marking/Grading assignments, by providing balanced, constructive feedback, focussing on industry relevance and application, and linked back to unit and course objectives
    • Administration and compliance activities as needed to ensure adherence to university partner policy and requirements.
    • Participate in professional development and/or scholarly activity.

     About you

    • You are ideally PhD qualified (Masters at minimum)
    • You have at least three to five years relevant industry experience (essential) plus two years or more delivering tertiary education content (flexible/online experience highly regarded).
    • Your communication skills are excellent and your energy and passion for teaching is palpable to your students and team
    • You inspire, mentor, and support your students, demonstrating genuine care and respect.
