Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and caring doula to join our team here at NewLife Chiropractic. We are passionate about providing the best possible care to our patients and looking to expand our team and provide our patients with whole body wellness. Your responsibilities will include working along side other practitioners to provide exceptional care to expecting mothers and helping them navigate the phases of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum recovery. This care will include providing physical, emotional support as well as providing wellness advice. If you are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and improving community wellness, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Meet with expecting mothers to discuss goals, preferences, and concerns.

Help clients create a personalized birth plan.

Provide emotional support and reassurance throughout pregnancy.

Teach comfort and coping techniques (breathing, relaxation, positioning).

Remain with the client continuously during labor and birth.

Offer physical comfort measures (massage, counter-pressure, movement suggestions).

Facilitate effective communication between the client and clinical staff.

Support and guide the partner or support people present.

Provide informational support about childbirth processes and options.

Encourage informed decision-making without giving medical advice.

Help create a calm, reassuring environment during labor.

Offer immediate postpartum support (emotional and practical) after delivery.

Provide initial breastfeeding or newborn support (if trained or within scope).

Make appropriate referrals to other resources or professionals as needed.

Respect client confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Maintain up to date Liability or professional insurance

Commitment to continuing education and maintaining certification

Qualifications

Completion of recognized doula training with certification

Proven experience as a doula

Experience attending births and postpartum visits

Strong communication and active listening skills.

Understanding of supplemental therapies.

HIPAA or patient privacy training

Must clear a Background check

Active certification and valid malpractice insurance.

Obtain National Provider Identifier (NPI) (required to bill insurance)
