    Job Description

    The program coordinator is a pivotal position in Dungarvin’s programming.  Emphasis is on coordination of Self-Employment services and Day Program services.

    These services include, recreation, program services, education/vocational programs, and health/safety. The Program Coordinator is responsible to assist the Program Director in maintaining consistency in programming, care of the individual served, communication with other team members, and other associated tasks as directed, including filling vacancies and for absent staff.

    Specific duties include:

    • To act as a role model for all program staff

    • Complete, process, and file paperwork  as assigned by the Program Director

    • To attend scheduled meetings, providing input and follow-up as assigned by the Program Director.

    • To assure transportation of individuals is arranged for all program purposes

    • Coordinate scheduling and individual’s involvement in community activities

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

     

    • High School Diploma or GED certification

    • Education or training in working with developmentally disabled adults and/or equivalent experience, is preferred

    • Prior experience in day program services is a plus

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills

    • Strong computer skills, including but not limited to experiences with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
