Job Description
The Vocational Support Coordinator (VSC) is responsible to work cooperatively with the Program Director (PD) and Vocational Support Manager (VSM) in the development and coordination of quality day habilitation services. These services include but are not limited to recreation, community integration, program services, educational and skill building activities. The VSC will assist in maintaining consistency in programming across all these areas.
Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or GED Certification. Education, training, and/or experience in the human services field is preferred.
Must have all of the following: a sincere desire to provide direct service to individuals with IDD, the ability to make sound judgements when given guidance and priorities, the ability to work as a team member to maintain consistency and quality in programming, the ability to exchange support, constructive criticism, and ideas with other staff members.
Communicating effectively with persons served, other direct care staff, and team coordinators is a vital part of this job. For this reason, Dungarvin requires both oral and written English language proficiency in this position.
