    A Mental Health Specialist I will work in highly specialized programs serving individuals with intensive, interfering behavioral and mental health needs.

    The persons receiving these services have many of the following characteristics: high incidents of crisis situations, high behaviors or anti-social issues, multiple hospitalizations/commitments/institutional stays, and multiple failed placements. Dungarvin group homes have been modified to eliminate safety concerns. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of two years’ experience in the delivery of mental health services.
    • Must be able to demonstrate de-escalation techniques, conflict resolution, positive support methods, and person-centered approach with person served who may present significant mental health symptoms, physical and verbal aggression, property destruction, chemical dependence, brain injury, and cognitive impairments.
    • Must be at least 18 years old, 21 years old for some sites
    • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
    • Current auto liability insurance
    • Reliable transportation
