Job Description
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible to provide direct services to the persons-served including safe transportation to activities, assisting with meals, developing skills, and supervision for safety. The DSP is responsible to work cooperatively with the Program Director and other staff in developing, implementing, and evaluating persons-served care and programming.
RESPONSIBLE TO:
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible to the Program Director. The DSP should follow up directly with the Program Director on any program or personnel issues within SLS program. The DSP should follow up with the Program Coordinator in areas related to activity, or maintenance needs of vehicles and equipment.
Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or GED Certification and some education, training, and/or experience in a related area. Must have all of the following:
Communicating effectively with persons served, other direct care staff, and team members are a vital part of this job. For this reason, Dungarvin requires both oral and written English language proficiency in this position.
