Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with disabilities; behavioral or medical complexities in residential programs and in the community.

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will support our persons served with activities that focus on supporting their health and safety. DSP’s work on outcomes to assist people with living skills, communication, community interaction and recreation. As a DSP, you will work with the person served to provide coaching, supervision, and role modeling skills as needed. The job may also include medication administration, providing transportation as needed per location, meal preparation, and assistance with personal care.

Service provisions focus on maintaining or enhancing the individual's dignity, well-being, autonomy, personal choice, self-esteem and teaching functional skills that are alternatives to maladaptive behavior.

Qualifications

Must have basic computer skills and some education, training, and/or experience outside of high school in a related area.

Must have all of the following: a sincere desire to provide direct service to persons with disabilities; ability to make sound judgments when given guidance and priorities; ability to work as a team member to maintain consistency and quality services; ability to exchange support, constructive criticism, and ideas with other staff members.
