HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW
The Duty Drawback Specialist is responsible for end-to-end tasks associated with processing duty drawback claims, including analyzing import and export data, preparing and submitting drawback claims, and providing detailed updates to clients.
This position is remote for a Utah based service company.
EXPECTATIONS
- Manage assigned clients and drawback claims from start to finish
- Handle moderate to higher-complexity drawback programs
- Compile and analyze import and export data from a variety of sources with accuracy
- Identify data discrepancies or documentation issues before escalating
- Maintain documentation records in accordance with regulations and company SOPs
- Build solid relationships with internal and external partners
- Provide informal coaching and review support to Duty Drawback Specialist
- Resolve common technical and compliance challenges independently
- Support scoping/onboarding of new clients
- Serve as a subject-matter resource for drawback fundamentals
ESSENTIALS
- 3-5 years of experience with import entry and customs brokerage process
- Solid understanding of supply chain, import, and export processes
- In depth experience of duty drawback regulations and claims processing
- Operational knowledge of HTS, Valuation, COO, FTA, etc.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Strong data analytics and attention to detail
- Ability to independently prioritize workload and manage deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or other data analytic tools
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- LCB or CCS preferred
