    Job Title:

    Duty Manager, Ramp Operations

    The Duty Manager will provide operational leadership and strategic support for all team members at the local level and is accountable for a successful partnership between McGee Air Services and its customers. This role may be responsible for managing all aspects of ground operations performance, baggage, transfers, leading safety programs, and ensuring an engaged, highly productive team.

    Shift Info: Our operational teams work around the clock 365 days per year. Shifts will vary based off specific roles, we work hard and play hard too. Our team members adapt to celebrating Holiday's or Events on different days to ensure a strong operational performance.

    • Manage the day-to-day operations (ramp, baggage, or transfers) with primary responsibility for scheduling/staffing, managing daily budgeted hours, payroll, and overtime of the operationLead a team of supervisors, leads, and agents, including team member coaching, mentoring, and

    • Ensure tools and equipment are available and in working condition for team members to perform job functions effectively
    • Ensure that facilities are maintained in excellent condition, clean, organized, and free of hazards and clutter
    • Supervise and fulfill all administrative duties inherent to this position in a timely manner to include scheduling, training, discipline and team member performance development
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and all regulations of federal, state and local airport authorities
    • Conduct audits and observations to ensure compliance with company and customer policy and expectations

    • College course work in related fields preferred
    • Three (3) years of operational experience; with relevant airline industry experience preferred
    • A minimum of one (1) year of previous supervisory experience required.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
    • Professional work ethic and demonstrated ability to work with all work groups while addressing people courageously, directly and candidly
    • Proven ability to direct the work of others in a positive way
    • Strong leadership ability with a genuine desire to help others
    • Able to lead and successfully communicate with a diverse workgroup and other internal departments

    ** Must haves to join our team:**

    • Obtain and maintain an airport security clearance, customs seal, and/or USPS security clearance including background criminal history check, drug screen, and fingerprinting is required.
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. or disclose their compensation or the compensation of other employees or applicants are also protected by law.
    • ** A valid driver's license with a good driving record is always required.**
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Must have a valid driver's license and one of the following documents in order to obtain a Port Badge and US Customs Security clearance.
      • Original or certified copy of a birth certificate
      • Unexpired US Passport
      • Permanent Resident Card
      • Unexpired US Territory Passport and I-94
    • Airport SIDA Badge Requirements Important update for non-crew employees working at an airport or maintenance hangar: Employees will be required to obtain a SIDA badge provided by the airport authority and maintain good standing in order to keep their SIDA badge.     • Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays required
    • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

    Salary Range (if applicable):

    The full salary range for this position is expected to be $57,277.00 - $85,915.00 per year. The current hiring salary range for this position is $57,277.00 - $71,596.00 per year.

    _Physical Demands & Work Conditions _
    Lifting/Carrying: Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry baggage and cargo weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 75 pounds or more. This often involves lifting items onto raised surfaces or into confined aircraft bins.

    Movement:

    • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, and twisting for extended periods (up to 8-hour shifts or more).

    • Ability to climb stairs/ladders and work in cramped or high places.

    • Manual dexterity required for handling documents and operating equipment.

    Driving/Operating Equipment: Must be able to operate various ground support equipment (GSE) such as tugs, belt loaders, and baggage carts, which requires a valid driver's license and the physical capability to do so safely.

    Vision/Hearing: Clear vision (including depth perception and peripheral vision) and hearing are required for monitoring flight information, communication via radio/headsets, and safety compliance in a noisy environment.

    Outdoor Exposure: The job is performed primarily outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.

    Noise and Environment: The work environment is very noisy, near active aircraft engines and ground support machinery, and may involve exposure to fumes, dust, and other airborne particles. Hearing protection is usually provided and required.

    Physical Capabilities Testing
    This position requires significant physical agility; you may be required to complete a Physical Capabilities Test post offer that will demonstrate your ability to:

    • Lift, carry, and place weighted standardized boxes, suitcases, or duffel bags from floor height to overhead.
    • Climb steps carrying weighted standardized box, suitcase, or duffel bags.
    • Sit and rotate to the left, right, and behind and visually identify a letter or number.
    • Pull a weighted sled a standardized distance.

    Union Information
    This position is part of a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Per the CBA, work schedules are awarded based on seniority. New hires are awarded their initial shift based on operational need. Therefore, the company cannot guarantee certain days off.
