    SUMMARY

    The Point of Sale (POS) Specialist is responsible for building the orders that are received from the distributors via the company’s POS system. This position is in charge of organizing receivables of POS product, receiving it into the warehouse, entering the orders into the WMS computer system and into the POS racking system and putting away product utilizing the Turret Truck. The POS Specialist will perform daily inventory checks and provide support to the warehouse for receiving and shipping. This position will report to the distribution center in Three Trails Industrial Park (87th Street between I435 and 71 Highway in Kansas City, MO).

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Loads, unloads, moves, stacks, and stages product and materials using the Turret Truck and forklift or other power equipment Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspects and performs minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment. Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods

    Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations. Efficiently stacks and stores the product in the appropriate areas

    Ensures inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Reports quality variances

    Pulls and prepares product for shipment from racking, staging areas or trailers, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Performs picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards

    Communicates and coordinates with Logistics to ensure product is within weight limits for shipment

    Coordinates with the Marketing Department on product description and details

    For new items, works in Navision computer system to properly set up codes

    Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety. Complies with OSHA and MSDS Standards

    Performs or assists in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required

    KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    High School diploma or GED

    Must be able to pass a background check

    Availability to work a flexible schedule

    Current or previous Turret Truck certification strongly preferred

    Ability to operate forklift with hand and foot controls; prior forklift experience required

    Ability to do basic math, read instructions and complete forms. Communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills. Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques

    Self-motivation and ability to work independently and with limited direction

    Ability to collaborate and work well with management, peers and across functions

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping

    Proficiency in using MS Excel and computer skills. Prior experience using SAP products (specifically WMS and Navision) a plus!
