Team D & M, THE ILLINOIS HAMMER,  is looking for a high energy player to work in a team oriented office focused on collaboration, service, communication and opportunity.  WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PETIONERS' WORKERS COMPENSATION ATTORNEY. Our team members have a passion for representing the injured and obtaining justice for them.  Our idea player has previous Workers Compensation law firm experience, however we are willing to train the right candidate.

Skills:                    

•   Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
•   Strong negotiation skills
•   Ability to manage time and case load 
•   Ability to communicate effectively under pressure
•   Team player willing to collaborate with and assist fellow team members.

Education & Licenses

•  Juris Doctor Degree
•  Illinois State Bar License

Experience:        

•  1 year Workers Compensation law firm experience preferred

Responsibilities:  

• Appear before the Illinois Workers Compensation Commission to represent petitioners in WC claims
• Conduct depositions of medical providers
• Secure TTD benefits, PPD benefits and medical treatment for plaintiffs
• Negotiate with Insurance Adjusters and Opposing Council to obtain maximum case values for our clients
• Maintain regular and comprehensive communication with our clients
