Job Description

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:

*Responsible for quoting computer hardware and software in a profitable manner. * Will oversee the management and ongoing development of specific accounts and/or contracts. Will develop and expand customer lists and interact with buyers on a regular basis.

The successful candidate will source the requested products and the best price from various distributors. Once pricing is received, the candidate will create a customer-facing quote and respond in a timely manner. Requests for quotations will be responded to via web portals or via e-mail.

Specific activities include, but are not limited to, quoting, confirming configurations are correct, sourcing products to obtain pricing, and resolving customer questions and concerns. This will be achieved through providing excellent customer service, following up on leads, and promoting positive customer, vendor, and manufacturer relationships.

Acceptance and review of orders to ensure completeness.

May execute telephone and other marketing campaigns to establish and qualify prospects as requested.

Responsible for promoting and maintaining positive customer relations. Works with customers to handle inquiries and resolve problems.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and achieving manufacturer’s certifications.

Prepares activity and forecast reports as requested.

Other responsibilities may be delegated from time to time by the Manager.

AUTHORITY: To work within the company’s established policies and procedures.

SKILLS: Strong computer skills a must including Excel and Word. Must be able to learn internal computer applications. Searching and sourcing the best pricing for required parts. Must have excellent communication skills both via phone and via e-mail.
