Come join the lively heart of downtown Anchorage on the iconic 4th Avenue! Here, you`ll be surrounded by the energy of the city while working with people from all over the world and exploring the beauty of luxurious, handmade fur products.
We`re looking for an E-Commerce Specialist to help bring our online store to life. Working closely with our owners, you will play a hands-on role in capturing beautiful product photos in our in-house studio, editing them to look their best, and publishing them on our Shopify store.
As you get the hang of things and grow into the role, youll take the lead on pulling products from the showroom and showcasing them online. If youre someone who loves staying organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and gets excited about creative work, this could be the perfect fit.

Duties and Responsibilities
Select, prepare, and photographically capture products in our studio with quality and lighting that aligns with exiting standards.
Accurately record and capture material(fur) and style descriptions for each product to input online.
Ensure that each product that is uploaded to Shopify is properly connected to our online inventory system.
Ensure that each product this is uploaded to Shopify is properly active in our in-store retail system.
Consistently review and manage products that sell out online for either removal, archive, or recategorization.
Consistently review and manage products that adjust in value in-store, ensuring that the price is always matching.
Report and follow up with any sold-out styles to the owner on duty for re-ordering with vendors.
Establish and maintain communicable relationships with all e-commerce vendors through all mediums (email, text, phone, etc.).
Knowledge and Proficiency with Shopify
Knowledge and Proficiency with Adobe Suite (PDF, Acrobat, etc.)
Knowledge and Proficiency with Photography (using high-res DSLR capable cameras). Photography experience with iPhones and other smart devices will not be accepted.
Knowledge and Proficiency with maintaining and posting marketing material and communication updates to social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
Basic IT knowledge, addressing printer/fax issues, internet connectivity, etc.
Provide miscellaneous administrative and office support for owners and bookkeeper that relates to the e-commerce platform, and other important business facets of Alaska Fur Gallery.
Job Requirements & Skills
High School Diploma or GED.
Proven work experience as a photographer (free-lance or corporate level)
General understanding of the retail sales process.
Proven work experience with Adobe products (LightRoom, Photoshop, etc.)
Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships.
Ability to learn about and retain the many types of furs, their differences, and their origins (this will be included in your training).
Must be able to lift/move +50lbs on occasion.
Must always maintain a clean and professional appearance.
Experience:
High-Resolution, DSLR, Marketing Photography: 2 years (Required, Non-negotiable).
Adobe Suite Products: 1-2 years (Required, Non-negotiable).
Adobe LightRoom / Photoshop: 2 years (Required, Non-negotiable).
Job Types: Full-time
Hourly Range: $25-26 per hour – Depending on experience
You must be physically present on-site in Anchorage, Alaska to perform this job.
This role is not eligible for remote or hybrid work – no exceptions.
Schedule Requirements:
8-hour shift, with 30-minute lunch
Hours of operation: 10am – 6:30pm (may vary on occasion and season)
5 days a week
Monday – Friday
