Job Summary: The E-commerce Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing our online sales channels to maximize revenue and enhance the customer experience. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, marketing savvy, and a keen understanding of e-commerce best practices. The ideal candidate will be passionate about digital sales, possess strong analytical skills, and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Website Management:
Manage and maintain product listings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compelling descriptions (including technical specifications, part numbers, and applications) for diesel transmissions and related parts on our e-commerce platform(s).
Optimize product categorization, search filters, and navigation for an intuitive user experience.
Regularly update website content, promotions, and banners to reflect current inventory, sales strategies, and company news.
Monitor website performance, identifying and resolving any technical issues (e.g., broken links, slow loading times).
Online Sales & Marketing:
Develop and execute e-commerce marketing strategies to drive traffic, conversions, and customer engagement.
Manage and optimize online advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, social media ads) targeting relevant audiences.
Implement SEO best practices to improve organic search rankings for key products and terms.
Coordinate with the sales and marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and promotional efforts across all channels.
Develop and manage email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and retain customers.
Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and make data-driven decisions.
Customer Experience:
Monitor customer feedback and reviews on e-commerce platforms and work with customer service to address issues promptly.
Implement strategies to improve the online customer journey and reduce cart abandonment rates.
Ensure a seamless checkout process and clear communication regarding order status and shipping.
Inventory & Data Management:
Collaborate with the inventory and warehouse teams to ensure accurate stock levels are reflected online.
Manage product data feeds and integrations with various e-commerce tools and platforms.
Ensure compliance with all e-commerce regulations and payment processing standards.
Reporting & Analysis:
Generate regular reports on e-commerce performance, including sales, traffic, conversion rates, and ROI of marketing campaigns.
Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Present findings and recommendations to management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, E-commerce, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in an e-commerce specialist or similar role, preferably within a B2B or industrial distribution environment.
Proven experience managing and optimizing e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, WooCommerce).
Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, and email marketing.
Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other relevant analytics and advertising platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling product descriptions and marketing copy.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bonus Points:
Familiarity with diesel transmissions, automotive parts, or industrial equipment.
Experience with ERP systems integrated with e-commerce platforms.
Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) for creating website banners and product images.
