A good student experience is never hands-off. We are dedicated to fostering a dynamic learning environment where students actively engage in practical experiences throughout their time with us. From the beginning, students are entrusted with specific responsibilities, ensuring they play a significant role in their learning journey. As valued team members, students are also encouraged to share and implement their own ideas, enhancing both their personal growth and the collective success of the team.
Description:
The student will be exposed to new product content, involved in projects, and engage in collaborative department work. Candidates will support the launch and change coordinators with activities to verify the bill of material and demand logic changes for vehicle production. We will develop the student to lead their own process improvement projects. Activities will focus on further development and optimizing of data analytical systems to improve processes and reporting and direct support of the team steering new integration levels into launch and series product.
Support Launch and Change Coordinators with engineering changes:
Contribute to Test Car BOM (Bill of Material) validation, where the new design changes are verified (i.e., the correct part is systematically steered to the correct vehicle).
Support the coordination of Line Trials, where new parts are physically tested in the production environment.
Report generation and maintenance including responsibility for communication and supporting topic resolution.
Major projects in this role focus on efficiency improvements and data accuracy, that could include:
* Implementing solutions to improve efficiency in the processes
NOTE: most of the processes within Launch and Change Control are systematic and information based, so many of the improvement opportunities lie in systematic process changes.
Qualifications:
Majors: Pursuing a BS or Graduate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management, MIS (Management Information Systems), Computer Science or other relevant degrees.
