Responsible for the repair and maintenance of dies for a safe, clean, productive and economical operation that fully supports press production.

Duties:

• Repair and maintain production and stamping dies
• Experience working with large progressive, transfer and deep draw dies
• Ability to Tig weld
• Rework of damaged components in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace
• Coordinate with manufacturing the dies to be repaired
• Troubleshoot problems to determine solutions
• Follow standard work and training for all work activities
• Adhere to all Safety and Quality policies and procedures
• Able to lift/push/pull/ up to 50lbs occasionally
• Able to walk/stand/crouch/bend constantly throughout assigned shift
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels and departments in the Production floor

Skills and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED, required
• Completion of a four-year Tool and Die Apprenticeship Program, required
• Minimum three (3) years of Tool and Die experience in a fast paced environment
• Knowledge and ability to work with high strength steel
• Automotive Stamping experience a plus

Salary info:

$24 - $28 / hr
