Job Title: Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator is responsible for providing support and coordination to the cross-functional team in the successful execution of new model programs and engineering changes. This role involves ensuring the delivery of customer and E&E expectations for program and product cost, timing, and quality. The Program Coordinator may also be involved in special projects or assignments to support operational goals or customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist and collaborate with the E&E cross-functional team throughout all project phases, following the "E&E APQP Process" guidelines
- Coordinate effectively with internal and external resources to ensure the smooth implementation of projects in support of new business
- Maintain accurate project budget, internal launch documentation, and customer launch documentation
- Create and maintain project timelines and open issues list, escalating as necessary
- Define tasks and delegate responsibilities, ensuring timely completion
- Analyze project risks and promptly escalate potential issues to management
- Communicate project issues and timing to customers, internal resources, and vendors, ensuring alignment
- Lead the completion of APQP task and milestone events within the designated timeline
- Promote a cross-functional team approach to new job launch and engineering change activities, collaborating with relevant departments until handoff to production
- Support the tool buyoff process with the E&E cross-functional team and suppliers, keeping management informed of any launch-specific supplier issues that may impact project and customer timing
- Verify and coordinate Run@Rate with the operations team, ensuring proper documentation is recorded
- Support the product sign-off (PSO) process, working with the cross-functional team to achieve PSO and leading the close-out activities of any open PSO issues

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this job may include working near loud moving mechanical parts. Education/Experience/Certifications:
To effectively carry out the duties and responsibilities of this position, the following education, experience, or certifications are preferred:
** Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business, required
** Experience:
- Six (6) or more years of experience in Project or Program Management, launch of automotive business initiatives, or equivalent Engineering Management experience, preferred
- Five (5) or more years of experience in Automotive Stamping, Welding, and Assembly components, preferred
- Five (5) or more years of experience in OEM or Tier1 Supplier manufacturing environments, preferred
** Certifications:
- Strongly preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
** Travel:
- 30% travel required for this position
** Multi-Site Responsibility:
- This position will have work responsibility between the Athens, TN and Plymouth, MI locations
** Relocation:
- Relocation to the Athens, TN area is required, and assistance may be provided
