  • Responsibilities

    Summary

    The Shipping/Receiving Department position is responsible for the daily operation of shipping and receiving. The position is directly involved with the day-to-day operations to meet customer deadlines for promised ship dates.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.

    Collaborates and communicates with logistic technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and other involved in the shipment and receipt of products.

    Tracks, traces, and update the status on incoming and outgoing shipments.

    Knowledge and understanding of UPS/FedEx systems for shipping domestically and internationally

    Prepare items for shipping, noting item contents, delivery methods, and other logistical details.

    Identify and resolve shipping discrepancies as they arise.

    Package finished parts per customer specifications

    Ability to perform quality inspections on finished product using visual cosmetic criteria

    Maintains inventory database, performs physical count of inventory and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports

    Willing to become forklift certified and perform forklift operations as needed

    Performs routine clerical duties, including answering telephones

    Complete required safety training and adhere to required safety regulations

    Maintain good housekeeping of work area on a daily basis

    Skills and Abilities:

    § Strong attention to detail

    § Stocking and stacking product

    § Pulling, packing, and loading product

    § Ability to read blueprints and manuals

    § Basic computer skills

    Education and Experience:

    High School Diploma or GED equivalency

    5+ years in a manufacturing environment

    Forklift experience

    Exceptional organizational skills

    Essential Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

    Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance

    Work up to 9 hours in manufacturing environment

    Walk/stand on concrete floor, as the job requires, for up to 9 hours

    Safeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

    Use cleaning equipment or tools as necessary for housekeeping duties in accordance with all safety rules
